My artistic approach is above all aesthetic; to draw the eye towards a shape, a colour, a subject. My goal is to forget about the technique of marquetry and to focus on the work of art.
The basis of my work is photographic From random walks or encounters, I capture a landscape, an object, a light, a person, a detail at a given moment and freeze it. I reinterpret this visual base and create my designs in shadow and form. Sometimes I choose to give a very abstract look to my creations in order to leave room for the viewer’s imagination. It is from this design that I go in search of a gradation of colors using different materials that work together visually, without worrying about the technical difficulties, which I think about only at the last moment
The theme “nature”, with which I mainly work, move me as much by its aesthetics as by its sensibility. This allows me to express myself and to convey my story and my emotions This allows me to express myself and to convey my story and my emotions
