To expose one’s work is to expose oneself, to expose oneself to oneself, to confront criticisms, positive and negative, which must be accepted. But it is also to enrich oneself, to grow, to react, to explain, to contradict and to communicate.
Art is subjective. What is beautiful to one person is not necessarily beautiful to another.
In this field that is marquetry, so special, with its different techniques and different materials, the skill is to make the viewer forget the technique and see only the aesthetics.
